Skills USA 2022. The New School.

Skills USA is a competition for students that study trades in high school. Multiple trades are present at the event, from beauty to culinary to mechanics. MADE worked with Printed United Alliance to facilitate the Screenprinting Technology competition this year. Sixteen students from across the United States came to Atlanta, Ga, to show off their knowledge by performing a formal interview, written exam, coating screens, imaging screens, screen registration, and printing.

This year we leaned on some great friends from the industry to help judge the competition. The group included Amber Massey with TShirts for Hope, Ray Smith with Avient, Nick Burton with Eternal Designs, Brian Lessard with MADE Lab, and Josh Carruth and Lee Wright with Printing United Alliance. All volunteered their time and knowledge to help make the event successful.
