We built MADE as ‘a home for the thinkers and makers who can see what’s next and deliver it now’- but it’s always fun to watch someone build their own. While making the rounds in Austin, TX, during SXSW and Flatstock 84, we were invited to visit our friend Tim Gibson’s new operation, High Voltage Studios, in Dripping Springs.
“High Voltage is a passion project of mine and my wife Melissa Gibson; we’ve always wanted to have our own boutique shop so we could do fun things, music-related brands and artists and certain specific brands that we are passionate about, and also have a place to play music and invite our clients out to enjoy the space, and all things music in Texas Hill Country.”, says Tim.
Tim started screen printing in the ’80s in northern California, working for Ink Inc. His boss Eric had set the business up as a printshop and rehearsal space for bands.
“If you could print, you could also play. That’s what we’re trying to recreate.”
The facility is 2,000 sq ft., almost equally a printshop and recording studio. You can read all the details here- but you should take the tour in the video below and check out the gallery.
